3.2 In what ways did you act as “ambassadors” and spokespersons for CyberFair project both online and in person?

        Throughout the process of developing and eventually publishing our project, students indeed functioned as ambassadors and spokespersons in several ways. To consult and have an interview with the professionals in the field of monument restoration, students learned to reach out to different construction companies and explain and values, visions, and goals of our project to these complete strangers. By doing so, we functioned as ambassadors since we informed these restorers that we are doing a research on their specialty and that with their valuable assistance, our project would worth to be presented to the global community. Besides, our team also created and published surveys about monument restoration for regular people in the public to answer. The surveys helped to remind the general public that monument restoration is an important part of our society and that its promotion and appreciation is of paramount importance, thereby publicizing this field. The surveys also enabled us to raise interest in the public about our project and our research, thus, making students the spokespersons of their project.

3.4 How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

        When we encountered problems that we were unable to solve, we turned to the seniors that had participated in last year’s cyberfair competition and our tutors for help. In order to collect data for analysis, all the team members spread the survey and asked people from different ages and backgrounds to fill it in for us. Last but not least, we interviewed Mr. Wu, an expert in monument restoration. Through the interview, we not only learned lots of knowledge about monument restoration but also visited a construction site. Overall, we really appreciate those who helped ue complete the project. Without them, we would not have done it successfully.
