(1) Personnel (Fundraising & Recruitment):

Currently, the team is mainly comprised of 20 members. Meanwhile, it obtains valuable experiences and knowledge about how to operate the organization from seniors. To ONE-FORTY’s managing director Lee XuanXiu from his experiences , In 2019, ONE-FORTY opened the recruitment of five groups of interns, with small monthly sponsorships  (600NTD per month), in order to expand the scale of school, aiming to make courses more diverse, and having more teachers. Additionally, donors can receive thanks and feedback from the association, such as being listed on thank-you wall, receiving a surprising email, and free activity for VIP.

(2) Clientele:

Under pecuniary pressure and low payment in their homeland, many south-eastern Asians choose to travel to Taiwan for better opportunities; however, without sufficient education and financial support, they could not continue to gain more knowledge and skills after coming to Taiwan. Thus, ONE-FORTY wishes to build a South-eastern Asian school to support them through online courses and tutoring, helping them to gain essential skills, make financial plans, and learn business concepts, for better future once they return to their homeland.

(3) Service:

Course: Currently, the organization provides Chinese, English, financial management and computer four courses. Most migrant workers didn’t have opportunities to learn Chinese or English before they started working in Taiwan. Entering a country in which Chinese is the mother language, migrant workers found it difficult to communicate with employers and other people, and in the working environment. Without the ability to communicate in different languages, migrant workers face several problems in work and life.

Online Educational Community: The association provides online and offline educational platforms with videos for migrant workers so they can use their spare time at home. Meanwhile, they can form online learning groups and study together, developing friendships. ONE-FORTY hopes that these courses can help them to find a better job once they return and maintain their life qualities away from poverty.
