About Gu Yuling
Gu Yuling, graduated from Chiayi Girl High School, Master of English from Fu Jen University, and Master of Social and Cultural Studies from National Chiao Tung University. And currently study for a PhD in Cultural Assets and Art Innovation at National Taipei University of Arts. She participated in the 1990 Wild Lily Student Movement during her college period, and was one of the leaders of the Jiaotong University Student Movement. After graduating from university, she actively participated in several social movements, labor movements, and especially worker’s rights movement in Taiwan. Right after 1978 where Taiwan introduced migrant workers, she began to play an important role in assisting and caring for migrant worker’s rights. Moreover, she was the former Secretary-General of the Taiwan Work Injury Victims Association, spokesman for the Ethnic Equality Action Alliance, Taiwan International Labor Association Secretary-General and Chairman, currently serves as a member of the People's Fire Action Alliance, a director of the Taiwan Public Health Promotion Association, and the National Taipei University of the Arts Part-time lecturer at National Tsinghua University.

1. Gu Yuling (2008) Our Stories-Migration and Labour in Taiwan :
The author uses several Filipino migrant workers’ stories as a platform, revealing their weary toil and exhausted career life in Taiwan. Through this book, we can clearly stand on the aspects of migrant workers and employers to investigate the absurdity and deficiency of Taiwan's relevant migration laws.
2. Gu Yuling (2010) The Condition of Freedom: A Case of Study of a Homicidal Vietnamese and An Inquiry into The Situation of Migrant Domestics in Taiwan :
This is a master's thesis completed by Gu Yuling in 2010. And begin with a case of muder by Vietnamese domestic helper. Many issues arising from law regulation on hiring foreign caregivers in Taiwan, and explore the key issue: “Is the migrant worker the murderer? Or the law is the murderer?”
3. Gu Yuling (2014) Going Home :
Gu Yuling was stationed in rural North Vietnam two times from December 2009 to January 2010 and September to October 2013. She walked into these migrant worker’s families, which they had interacted with for 15 years, went to work and farming with them, lived in their house and explored their situation after they returned home. After the project ended, this book was published in December 2014. Inside the book, it recorded 16 migrant workers, which she had known for years, their lives after return back home or their miserable or courageous lives.
