Yoshi Chen:

This is my second time participating in CyberFair and the first time I become the club leader. We won the platinum award last year, so I’m going to work as hard as I can this time and try to lead my team to the same corollary. I really enjoy the sense of accomplishment when I work super hard with my teammates and finally get done with work, it makes me learn about the importance of teamwork. Apart from teamwork, I learned to browse the internet and search for information faster than I used to. I also learned to write in-depth questions for our interviewing. I learned a lot throughout these two years and I’m willing to keep participating in CyberFair for the next few years.

IVY  Wei:

I was a homeschool student when I was in elementary school, so junior high school is a new experience for me. I have previous experience in research projects, so the CyberFair project is quite familiar to me. However, the slight difference between the two made me get interested in CyberFair. In our CyberFair club, I am the vice president of our club. So I need to learn more about how to manage a team and make everyone work together efficiently. Our group mates all participated in the discussion and worked together well. However, some difficulties such as people not collaborating, lack of time, fail to contact the expert; I overcame these challenges by cooperating with group members and leadership skills. I am grateful that my group mates are all responsible. I am very enjoying introducing our country’s culture to the world, that made me proud of my country.

Kuan-yu Chen:

This is my first-time experience attending CyberFair and learning about what Cyberfair is doing. At first, I was afraid to try new things that I had never done before. So I was pretty resistant to participating in the discussion. However, after collaborating with my group mates in the Cyberfair club, I found out researching and making websites is such an interesting thing to do. Although I was born and raised in Taiwan, I barely learned or discovered our own culture; which makes our culture gradually disappear. So CyberFair gives me a chance to realize and be aware of our Taiwanese culture. I sincerely appreciate this chance to get myself to learn about our own culture. Overall, this project taught me a lesson of taking risks and trying new things, collaborating and communicating with different people, and realizing the importance of our own culture.

CAROLYN PHOEBE WANG:

In the beginning, I was very interested in computer science and website development. So hearing about CyberFair, I just joined the CyberFair club immediately. After our group discussion, I am the one in charge of making the website. I faced some difficulties during the process, however, I learned from the failures and improved myself every time. I truly appreciate my teachers who teach me patiently, I learned a lot from them and these pieces of knowledge can be applied in my real life. I am also very grateful to my group mates, our group encounters a lot of very challenging difficulties. However, we still went through all of them together, this makes our bond with each other becoming stronger and closer. This project honestly helped me a lot in many categories. I am willing to keep participating in CyberFair in my future.

Rex Chen:

I have learned a lot after the whole project, whether in researching, collecting, or analyzing information, I improved a lot after attending the CyberFair. At first, I was a little bit concerned about our group because we have only 6 people left to attend the CyberFair; we are one or two people less than other groups. However, we just follow the instructions and do our own job, we collaborate with each other well. I often do the collecting data and communicate job, so I am in charge of contact with Tr. Nian-Zhou Chen.
