Tian Zhixue doctor has a high educational background. She studied medical knowledge at National Yang-Ming University. Tian Zhixue doctor experienced some incidents from her childhood, bullying by others is one of those unforgettable memories. In the past, her family was poor, but even so, she goes to school every day and learns with other kids. She didn’t understand why the others hate indigenous people, telling her that she has parasites or saying she is dumb because she didn’t know how to speak their languages and make fun of her, she had even been surrounded by bullies and been beat up just because she wouldn’t take an older girl in school as her “boss”, and been slapped on the face, yet she has gone through all this, no one would stand up to help her.

She was ashamed and sad while others kept hurting her body and her heart, but she tried hard on education and successfully achieved a good grade. She then went to a university in Taiwan then she became a doctor. Her motivation to become a doctor has come from her childhood, her family, and the experience of losing her father. Making people happy and saving as many lives as she can have become a great life goal she is working on.

 

How does Tian ZhuXue doctor feel about her job?

Although she often encounters difficulties at work, she feels that helping others is a very happy thing because after successfully helping the patient, the patient's smile and gratitude made him feel very fulfilled and warm. This is why she loves being a doctor and helping patients.

 

Difficulties that she encountered

Now, she is an indigenous doctor who works in Cheng Hsin General Hospital’s emergency department. After her father has left, she is very sad but always believes her father is always watching her from above, she knows that if he could have seen all her accomplishments, he must’ve been very proud of her. While saving lives in the hospital, she performed her skills on television shows, and she even went back to her hometown to teach children and many people about CPR and AED, and help the people living on the mountains to have better medication and better hospitalization for old people that need care. Working as an outstanding doctor, she has great dreams to accomplish, to let everyone know how to use CPR and AED, and for herself and everyone to save lives for people, for a better society.

 

The relationship between Tian Zhixue and the Aboriginal Medical Association

As an indigenous doctor, Tian Zhixue doctor naturally wants to help indigenous people to get a better environment. By giving them more medical education and technique, those indigenous doctors should work together and accomplish their goals. As Tian Zhixue said in our interview, she wants to be in the Medical Association for Indigenous People in Taiwan. Those indigenous doctors could work together and help the indigenous people as an association, so this is why Tian Zhixue doctor joined the association.
