Throughout this project, we mostly used our laptops and computers to research our topic. Every team member requires their electronic device, to research the information we ought to include in our project. Therefore, a total of 10 computers were needed. We use Google as our search engine for the project, which Google contains valid information and is one of the biggest online databases in the world. Moreover, Google includes several beneficial applications that assist us throughout the research process. For example, we use Google Forms as our tool to produce surveys for the public. Google Forms can carry up to at least 300 submissions, which is positive for our research. We want as much information as we can to do the research project. We also use Google Drive to store and organize our system
. Google Drive is free for all users and can carry up to 10 gigabytes of files and saves, therefore it is an effective utensil for our project. Furthermore, we use Google Sheets to evaluate and confirm. Google Sheets also include alternative extensions, like creating graphs and diagrams During the interview session, we used higher quality cameras, two microphones, a camera tripod, and several iPhones that are 13 and above. We use high-quality cameras to ensure our photos and videos are high quality. We use tripods to hold the cameras to the perfect angle for video recording and photographing. If we do not acquire a tripod during the interview, the video shots will not be stable and affect the quality of production. Additionally, by using microphones we can capture clear sound of the interviewer and the person who gets interviewed. Lastly, we use NicePages to create our stunning and engaging website for the research project, with the following applications available for Mac, Windows, and more programs.
Kang Chiao, as a school teaching inclusively a spectrum of comprehensive international perspectives, collaborating with Vox Nativa which has a main focus on advocating ethnical cultures and preserving traditions, draws awareness of students on the topic of inheritance and identity. As we interviewed students in the Vox Nativa Academy, we understood that the majority of students joined the academy in search of their own ethnical identity and to inherit their root cultures, since such values faced discriminatory garbles in regular, mixed-ethnic institutions. This project addresses the issue of cultural minorities and discrimination in the Taiwanese community in school, thus urging international, influential institutes such as Kang Chiao to further enhance education on correlating humanity topics. By initiating education that teaches the proper attitude towards the multicultural society of Taiwan, future generations foresee a tolerant, diverse, and equitable society that favors the peaceful coexistence and well-being of all groups and ethnicities within the community.
As the ambassadors in the project, students effectively use surveys and research to explore deep into the information the student determines. The result and statistics of the survey enable the student to receive enough information for the topic and other’s feedback. Moreover, students’ collaboration in exchanging their opinions and ideas contributes to the project's quality by reinforcing one another’s viewpoints and applying them to the project. As the spokesperson, the students would need to assign themselves to several roles during the interview. Since the team represents the school, therefore the student should fully show their effort toward the project. During the interview, the students should divide themselves into the groups in charge of interviewing, filming, photographing, and notetaking. Each group contributes a different aspect of the project for our team. Furthermore, dividing groups makes the whole interview process look more professional and reliable, implying the following techniques can increase our school’s value.
As a part of the project, we are thankful for the invitation from the Vox Nativa Foundation to observe and appreciate how their education is different from other communities and how the teacher acknowledges the students to deliver stunning singing voices and skills. We are thankful to them for allowing us to photograph and film their performance freely. It is a pleasure for our team to learn a new concept of learning and learn the linkage between people and people, people and nature, people and the sky. As a student, we are stunned and impressed by their education style and their motivation for hosting the Vox Nativa Foundation. Once again, we are extremely grateful to the Vox Nativa Foundation for inviting us to try and appreciate new kinds of music and culture, and also take in the principle and element of how native Taiwanese reflect toward the world and nature.
