Project Overview


Our Community:
Our chosen community is Huikuang Guide Dog Foundation Taiwan in Xinzhuang District. The major significance for this foundation is to teach dogs into guide dogs that may lead blind people through the world. They included lots of different education systems and administered the school for dogs such as Labrador, Golden labradors, and Golden retriever. This association has lots of different jobs in order to develop convenience for blinders. They are also willing to send raised guide dogs to other countries such as Japan. According to the worker in the Huikuang Guide Dog Foundation, they have already sent 3 well raised guide dogs to Japan in recent years. After the dogs passed the test, they became a dog that worked and helped the society to grow. In conclusion, Huikuang Guide Dog Foundation Taiwan stands a relevant role in Taiwan's civilization because of how it supports blind people. Our community really needs a more friendly environment for guide dogs and blinders to live in, therefore raising more recognition to guide dogs and the foundation is pertinent to our society.


Project Summary:
In terms of having an increased number of blind people, then the significance of the Huikuang Guide Dog Foundation Taiwan stands more. Since guide dogs are now not that commonly seen in Taiwan, we should be promoting everyone around society to donate funds or learn more about guide dogs in order to make the blind people’s lives more efficient. Therefore, we wanted to interview and acknowledge more on how they train guide dogs. Furthermore, we will interview more on what they met in their foundation, and their thoughts on this foundation based on some circumstances. As a result, we will take a step into the world of interactions between guide dogs and blind people, in order to sort out how the community is making a positive effect throughout the civilization in Taiwan.


Computer and Internet Access:
As the internet nowadays is much better, we are able to use computers to set up the website on our own without any trouble. In our group, 100% of students are able to use the internet at home to do research and create websites. Most of the area in our school has internet access that provides the student in our school a more efficient and influential school environment. This opportunity made us finish our project more effectively and efficiently because there aren’t any internet issues. The internet speed in the classroom is also fast and steady, therefore we are able to do most of the work in school. Throughout the school, every classroom has internet access. We have three different kinds of internet which are for students, teachers, and guests. Computers, Cameras, and IMovie are used throughout the whole project. These tools are our important materials while we're doing the competition. Computers help us make our website, cameras help us on recording the interview. IMovie helps us edit our interview video and add subtitles, which is edited on computers. The whole group that participated in our project has their own devices such as laptops and IPads. In conclusion, we finished our project with zero internet irritation and errors.


Problems we had overcome:
During this project, we had to interview the Huikuang Guide Dog Centre, however the pandemic right now made it hard to interview them. Since there are some restrictions in interviewing them because of Covid-19, we tried to make some adjustments in our interview in this project. We called them on the phone several times and sent several emails to them. Lastly, as we expected earlier by communicating and negotiating with the people in Huikuang Guide Dog Centre, we overcame this problem and decided to still interview them face to face.
