Project Element
The CyberFair project is an international competition that requires a precise website and detailed information. Cyberfair projects require lots of work that we need technologies to achieve, such as researching, writing information, video editing, website making, photo editing, etc. This indicates the importance of having technologies during our CyberFair project. Most of the time, we use computers as the most valuable tools because computers may run faster compared to other electronics, such as iPads or phones.
Furthermore, computers have more space to gather information together. The most important part was that we used computers to find the company Guantian Black Gold. Every group member has a laptop, which makes the research more effective. We used the laptop to search and gather information all around the internet. Not only researching for the information, we also used NicePage to make the website, YouTube to gather the knowledge, Google Drive to preserve our documents and photos, Google Forms to gather data from the survey, and Gmail for sending information to others, Google Documents to collect the information from the interview, and the Internet. In summary, technology played a crucial role in enhancing the quality and professionalism of our project. It allowed us to access a wide range of resources and advanced tools for digital design. With technology, we were able to collaborate more effectively, organize our work efficiently, and present our final projects.
After the research of the company named Guantian Black Gold, the leader of this company, which was the main company that we will focus on during the CyberFair project. The leader was named Mr. s. Our team leader communicates with Mr. ChengXian Li by Line and phone calls. On the day we needed to go to an interview, we went far down to Tainan. During the interview, Mr. ChengXian Li answered all of our questions and took us to see his factory. He told us that everything was possible if we tried to make progress. Making a new brand can be easy, but if you want to make it popular, everyone can notice. We should show our progress and never give up. In addition, we also act as ambassadors when we are sending out surveys to people. In the process of sending out a survey, we also let people understand the concept of the local business in our community. Certainly, we have interacted with different kinds of people since we are researching this topic, no matter if they are students or in other occupations.
Through this year’s Cyberfair project, we aim to make a strong impact on our society. By sharing our website across Taiwan, we hope to raise social awareness of Guantian Black Gold Company’s innovative technology of turning discarded water caltrop shells into zero-shell carbon products. Furthermore, if the government and other local industries saw our project, they may pay more attention to sustainable products and start similar initiatives. Throughout the project making, we also made a great working relationship with members of our community, including helpers who helped with our survey and the employer of Guantian Black Gold Company, who had provided us with valuable insights and data. These supports had shaped the later success of our website-making.
Therefore, if our project spreads our sea, it can help start a connection between Taiwan and other countries, which people worldwide can learn about Guantian’s technology and how they contribute to sustainability. This could lead to further partnership between Taiwan and other countries, maybe combining advanced technologies that can improve our environment. Additionally, the feedback that we have received so far from our community has been positive. They were stunned that there is such technology in Taiwan and also impressed by the company’s innovative methods. Overall, our project showcased Taiwan’s local businesses and sustainable technologies, making a strong impact on our society.
Our project involved multiple members of our community as volunteers and helpers. They had actively participated in answering our project’s survey, making us represented in all age groups. There are 268 students and 118 adults who have helped us contribute their response to our survey, making it much easier for us to gather and organize the results and information. In addition, the employer of the company, Guantian Black Gold had provided significant help to our project too. During the interview, he answered our questions clearly, which made it easy for us to collect the necessary information. Therefore, he had also provided pictures and detailed data about the company, leading to our well-informed website.
While collecting our survey, we noticed that many Taiwanese are not familiar with the concept of SDGs. Although the school had taught us some of the SDGs, students generally only have a vague understanding of it. Which this might explain why many Taiwanese don’t have the awareness of the importance of protecting our environment and using suitable products.
