I’ve always been interested in learning about SDGs and how I can contribute effort to society, so I applied and grasped the opportunity to join cyberfair. As this was my first time participating, I was confused at first but with my classmates and teacher’s help, I slowly started understanding cyberfair. The first task we did was to find a topic, I wasn’t aware it would be such a difficult task. At one point, me and my teammates were stuck, the associations we asked were either ignoring us or rejecting our invites, and we didn’t have any idea of what we could have done differently just when we were about to give up the Learn By Space association finally reached out to us and we immediately scheduled an interview with them. This experience taught me the importance of perseverance, we would’ve never made it without trusting the process and putting in extensive efforts. The interview with the Learn By Space association inspired me in many different ways, I realized how grateful I am to be learning in this environment and the international resources I can access. This highlights the importance of education to many children from different backgrounds, and it urges me to promote education, I believe that everyone deserves quality education despite their backgrounds. This year’s cyber fair theme is ‘collaborate&unite’ I hope through the Learn By Space association, we will succeed in collaborating education with space and inspire many more children to help accomplish their dreams.
After joining the Cyber Fair club in KCIS, I understood that it wasn’t an easy project. This is the first time for me to join this club, and I don’t get what should I do and how to begin the project at all. However, our teacher’s guides helped me to know better what should the whole team do and how can we improve our work. I also learned that to complete our website, we have to go through many steps, such as developing an interesting topic, organizing data, and finishing the whole website. We need to work with our team to complete the website, this is a big challenge for us. Working with your teammates is quite difficult and complicated, if you don’t divide the work clearly, this might cause a series of problems at the end. Moreover, due to the topic we chose, I have a better understanding of how other people view education and their way of achieving it.
It’s a unique experience to join the Cyberfair club this year. I remember our team was struggling with the topic a lot at the beginning of our project. We had a lot to learn, including researching and choosing a topic that we could collaborate with and unite everyone. To solve the difficulties, we discuss in teams and research together online. Finally, we decided to make an association called Learn by Space. The main motivation was because Learn by Space participates a lot in the education field. With their efforts, more and more students could have the opportunity to learn and to unite themselves in our society. Most importantly, the project not just united the students but also collaborated our team work. Meanwhile, I’ve learned the power and importance of diverse education after the interview with Learn by Space. The founder talked a lot about her own story of learning and the importance of learning in different aspects. She impressed me with the idea of education during the conversation. Overall, the research during our Cyberfair project has made me learn skills and idea other than just standard knowledge.
This was my first time participating in the CyberFair Program. First of all, I was not familiar with this concept. Furthermore, I was overwhelmed and confused at the beginning and I couldn’t understand the procedures at the beginning. Nevertheless, after collaborating with my team members and acknowledging the teacher’s clear instructions on choosing a topic and starting an investigation, I gained a lot more understanding of how the procedure goes. Later on, we began looking for a suitable topic for investing, everyone came up with different ideas, but after communicating and filtering the options our final decision was to investigate the Space Education Association. This is a non-profit organization that motivates students to learn, the corporation focuses on bringing out each individual’s strengths and creativity. This precious experience influenced my thoughts and aspects in education. I believe that The Association of Space Education is doing the right thing and is the best choice for our topic. In addition, after the investigation through education, I have gained a better understanding of Taiwan's education and how the organization is related to creating a suitable learning environment for kids to learn.
This year is the second year for me at Kang Chiao, it is also a special one. This year I joined the school’s cyber fair team. I actually almost missed this opportunity at first, but I still managed to join at the last moment. When we were deciding on the theme of our project, we’ve picked this space education association from all the other associations and foundations. We thought this association is special. One of the main reasons is because the education we receive now is mainly about learning languages or mathematics, so when we saw this association that teaches students about architecture, I thought it was really amazing. Some of the students of general public schools doesn’t have a family that allows them to go abroad to study, but this association allows them to learn knowledge about architecture for free with children in remote areas or aborigines. There was some lack of communication but we managed to get it done and I learned a few things about the importance of teamwork and the importance of adapting to situations.
After this Cyber fair project, I enjoyed how our team collaborated and worked hard. This is my first time participating in this competition, I struggled during the project and was sometimes very confused. For instance, time management is something that we need to work on. We spent a lot of time deciding on the topic and preparing for the interview, so then we had less time to organize survey results, gather data, and finish our composition. Although there were a lot of problems, I enjoyed interacting with associations that stand out and work hard to try to make our society a better place, I also learned a lot about spatial education the importance of creativity, and the lack of resources that causes education inequality in rural areas. Overall, I’ve learned a lot through this competition, I hope we can do better next time.
This year in the cyber fair club, I was assigned the work of website designing and creation of our website. During the Process, I’ve learned a lot from our teacher on aspects such as elements of a good website, proper ways to conduct research, and also ways of analysis. This is our first year as a group attending the cyber fair competition and my second year competing in the cyber fair. At the start of the newly formed team, we started struggling to find a proper topic and theme to build our research on. Luckily, we’ve later noticed one educational foundation that focuses on space education, or the so-called environmental design. The vision of this year is Collabrate&Unite, the organization we found out that collaborates with other schools or organizations that help children who live in remote areas in Taiwan. Helping those children could bring a boost to socializing and creating a society that is equal and united. Those children who live in those remote areas lack resources compared to the children living in cities. Therefore, starting by doing this cyber fair project, I can take the chance of learning the discriminations and inequalities that people other than us face, and move forward to helping people worldwide when I have that ability one day.
During the semester participating in Cyber Fair, I gained knowledge about how to research, analyze, interview, and what we should do in CyberFair. At first, I was struggling with collaborating with groupmates. Such as the purpose of CyberFair, or how to start researching the topic. However, I figured out what I should do after discussing it with my groupmates and looking over my senior peers’ works. Furthermore, I learned more about how to make questions for interviews and forms. After the interview with the association our group researched about, I found out about Space Education, what are their goals, what kind of children they teach and help, and a better understanding about SDGs. In conclusion, joining CyberFair improved my knowledge about education, not only reading textbooks and writing tests, but we can also use our creativity to learn, and help people who don’t have enough sources for education.
This semester was the first time that I joined the KCIS cyber fair, during the first semester, I was really confused about everything and wasn’t able to contribute to our group, but after I listened to the teacher’s explanation, I grasped a better understanding on what is really going on and what should I do to be an effective worker and contributing to the group. So I researched the topic that we’re doing and recorded information that would be useful. After writing all the information down to make a form and would go to an interview. In the interview, although I didn’t do many things and just took pictures, I learned a lot from the people we interviewed, from how they viewed the current education system and some ways to improve the education, this helped me gained a better understanding of what is happening in the world.
This year is the first time for me to join the cyber fair and also the first time to participate in the cyber fair competition. At first, I was really confused about how the cyber fair program works. But after the teacher’s explanation, I finally understood what cyberfair is about. Therefore, we discussed it with each other and decided that our topic would be about space education. However, during the process of making surveys and collecting data, we struggled a lot. We collaborated and worked together to face and encounter the struggles. Furthermore, we enjoy interacting with the association and we believe that they brought benefits to society. It allows a lot of people to learn more about architecture which means some poor kids can also learn knowledge. As a result, I believe that the space education association has a positive impact on the world.
