We are students from Taiwan Kang Chiao International school who participate in the International CyberFair competition. For some of us, it’s the first time! For others, it’s the second or third time participating in such an event. Previously, the team has investigated Atayal weaving cultures and homeless associations in Taiwan, and this year, we have decided to dive into the world of fashion and sustainability. This industry stood out to us, as not only consumers of clothing brands but also promoters of sustainability and a continuous, living world. Directed by two teachers, this team aims to promote the principles of sustainable fashion to the public, prompting a better future and serving as role models for the upcoming generations.

This is my third year of participation in CyberFair; a competition that has sent me on an exposing journey into the world of sustainable fashion. I was very thrilled by this amazing subject initially and couldn’t wait to start researching it, thus the enthusiasm took over me. However, as I moved deeper into the topic, some concerns began to weigh heavily upon me. The shocking facts about pollution, environmental destruction, and the immediate demand for collective action have made me feel so responsible. In retrospect, I have resolved to convert this new-found knowledge into concrete actions going forward. Consequently, through my commitment to being a global actor with a vision for the future, I will be more concerned in addressing such imminent matters as sustainable fashion in my upcoming projects and volunteering programs that are meant to nurture environment-friendly attitude-change patterns. Through my ongoing work efforts, I strive for an improved future making it more lasting as well as just accessible for all upcoming posteritys.

As a member who has participated in the CyberFair competition for the past two years, I feel more confident due to my rich experience with the whole process. At first, we did not expect the interview to be smooth, as we thought the business we wanted to contact was different from the interviewees we met before; it is a relatively big and official business. This made us extra nervous, and we were surprised to receive the interview acceptance email from “story wear.” To be honest, this is the best project I’ve done. I like art a lot, and the fashion topic interests me, this project gave me an opportunity to step into the field. It is my honor to be one of the members of this team, completing research with friends, and promoting the beauty of zero-waste fashion to my country and the world.

I am honored to be in the CyberFair club this year. As someone new to the whole process, the club has brought about valuable insights that have allowed me to learn and improve along the way. One of the most remarkable aspects is the collaborative nature of the team. As we were interviewing the company, Story Wear, various work tasks, including videotaping, photographing, and conducting interviews, were all efficiently distributed among the team members. Each member took on specific responsibilities, ensuring a smooth workflow and enhanced quality of our study. Additionally, the process of researching and delving into our chosen topic serves as a fascinating learning experience. The topic this year revolves primarily around SDG goals 11, sustainable cities and communities, and 12, responsible consumption and production. Story Wear is Taiwan’s first zero-waste fashion brand, making its products out of disassembling and reassembling recycled denim. Therefore, along the journey, not only did this broaden my awareness and comprehension of global trends but also highlighted their influence on a more sustainable society—something we, too, can be a part of.

This is my third year participating in CyberFair, and the entire experience has been like a dream that I am reluctant to get up from. CyberFair is one of the key factors that sparked my interest in social studies and science. I've learned a lot by delving into knowledge that isn't covered in textbooks. I'm glad to be a part of our team and be able to contribute to the discoveries. It is a pleasure to participate in the International CyberFair contest, and I understand what it is like to be an international student and a member of the global community

It’s my pleasure to be a member of the CyberFair club this year. Throughout the event, I learned a lot from my colleagues and discovered several new skills about myself. CyberFair allows me to participate in various activities that I have never done before. For example, I conducted an interview and participated in research to build more knowledge about sustainable fashion and how environmental protection can be industrialized. Even though I think I did a great job, there's still much to improve, and continue to work hard.

Participating in Cyberfair for well over 3 years has been an amazing journey along the way, with many experiences I gained and learned, whether it's from our topic, where we interviewed many or the process of brainstorming and creating the website. This year, different from the previous year, I've taken up the mistakes we’ve made the past two years and have greatly learned from them. I've created a much better version of myself, the website, and the research is far more extensive. The topic for this year was a clothing company that, as I had never heard of before, stood out from the rest because their aim was “sustainable” clothing while creating fashionable clothes. This intrigued us enough to form a topic around their aims. During this time, we’ve faced challenges, such as several of our teammates being absent in times when they are in need; this doubles the work of individuals who are not absent and creates a major uneven amount of work done. Some of our teammates were also not evenly contributing to the project; to solve this, we gave them simple tasks, which ensured they were not wasting any time. Despite these, the topic for this time, story wear, was fairly simple and well-known, and many news reports and articles about them allowed us to quickly finish our research. Overall, this year’s Cyberfair went very smoothly.

Third year at CyberFair club, this year was pleasurable. My main job was photography and website building, same as last year. I gained a lot of experience, but this year I am more confident because I already have experience. This year we are doing fashion clothing, unlike the basics, we engage in “sustainable” and “recyclable” fashion clothing, which are environmentally friendly to our community and living conditions. I feel like we are doing fine so far, everything is smooth and going our way. Compared to last year I can say I have improved, my photography skills were better and my website-building skills were also improved, but there is still a lot to learn.

I’m glad that I can be a member of the CyberFair club for three years. I believe that participating in CyberFair gives us excellent learning opportunities. These projects help me hone new abilities like question-creation, translation, and analysis. I also want to thank our teachers and teammates for constantly helping us out with our assignments. We found it quite difficult to choose our project and find the location for the interview, but with the help of our peers, we were able to resolve the issue. Creating this project has been a good opportunity for me to gain knowledge about environmental issues and recyclable clothing designs. Next time, I aim to contribute more to our work and the interview. These projects have taught me a lot, and I'm eager to keep working and getting better next year.

Participating in this year's CyberFair, me and my teammates discovered a profound connection with sustainable fashion clothing, which resonated deeply with my values and aspirations. My engagement was further enriched by capturing the essence of the tailor through photography with the drive to support community initiatives. Our experiences underscored the impact of visual storytelling in promoting environmental protection and improving our experiences.

This is my second year in the CyberFair club and my second time competing. Throughout the year, I have gained a lot of new knowledge and gained experience. I learned a lot about the issue of pollution and waste, understanding how fashion can be a part of action that can sustain and help our community. I am pleased to be a part of CyberFair, and more pleased to be a part of this team. No matter what I learned from this experience, I believe I will use it to conquer other challenges. Thanks to my team and myself for this participation.
