Our project closely aligns with the 2024 theme “collaboration and unite.” Hibāng aims to encourage other companies to follow the concept of circular economy through their modest contribution, thereby building a circular economy in Taiwan, or even on a global scale. Additionally, during the production of their recycled glasses, Hibāng collaborates with fisheries industry, including fishermen. It not only increase fishermen’s willingness to collect discarded fishing nets, but also turn one of the biggest factor of ocean pollution into recycled raw materials, creating and maximizing their utility. The collaboration between each company and industry is mainly because a sense of unity as they are aiming for the same goal, which is protecting Taiwan’s lands while making our world a better place. An individual's power is limited but a gathering of individuals can make huge difference. This sense of unity makes the collaboration between one another much easier while creating bigger impacts. Altogether, through our project and our in-depth analysis of Hibāng company, we realize the power of collaboration and aspire to arouse public awareness of environmental conservation, thus uniting and working together towards sustainable development goals.
