Portable Altitude Chamber (PAC)
Purpose: Portable pressure bag (PAC) can be used for rescue immediately, reducing the death rate of acute mountain sickness.
Effect: It only takes 10 minutes to increase the pressure in the bag by 2 PSI (+ 0.136 ATM) (the effect of falling 1500 to 1800 meters) + help some patients with severe acute mountain sickness to sustain until the rescue helicopter arrives + reduce helicopter rescue, which effectively reduces the rescue costs and expenses
Appearance: PAC mainly has three holes. One is the air inlet hole. When facing the PAC, the lower left and lower right are automatic air relief valves. When a certain pressure is reached, it will automatically deflate. The upper one is manual pressure relief.
Procedures
1. Explain to the patient what to do, ask the patient not to be nervous.
2. Ask the patient to lie in, where the patient can see the healer.
4. Start to check if the pump is leaking, and then start pumping with your feet. At this time, you can start pulling up the space zipper.
3. During the treatment, if the ear pressure is uncomfortable, pinch your nose and open your mouth or swallow.
5. When a certain pressure is hit, the pressure will start to be released. At this time, change the pump pressure for 5 seconds and cycle for at least one hour.
6. Patients can release pressure manually after treatment.
7. Evaluate the pressure when the pressure is about to be released, and then open the zipper, otherwise the patient will be in danger.
