The founders, Ms. Aizhu Chen, and many of her partners of the Happy Work association served the people with disability in the early treatment and education institutions. She watched these people with disabilities face many difficulties and challenges after leaving the early treatment center, including interpersonal interaction skills, social adaptation, and workplace work; this gives her the ambition to continue to provide support and assistance. Therefore, she established "Happy Work Workshop No. 1 Station" in 2019. This workshop can serve twenty adults with disabilities, and provide agency work, social adaptation, self-advocacy, and various training courses. She aids the people with disabilities who joined the association (Le’er) to live on their own, hoping that they can find their own direction and dreams.
The first goal of Happy Work is to give disabled families support. Therefore, they hosted "Let's play with art! Happy Work Luminous Paradise” for community advocacy. This improves communities' understanding of the physically and mentally handicapped by providing a stage for Le’er to publish their achievements throughout the year to the communities. This further strengthens family resources and support networks to maintain or improve family functions.
