At the beginning of September 2022, nine senior high students, and members of the CyberFair club, with enthusiasm, formed a group to have a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s community. Although we are from three different homerooms, we cooperate well together under the guidance of our instructors, Bear Shaw, and Wings Peng. Effective teamwork and strong motivation make us complete our projects that demonstrate Taiwan’s identity.
This is my third time participating in the CyberFair project, gaining a lot of experience throughout the three years of CyberFair Club. As I have more experience, the overall flow of researching information, gathering data, and organizing the survey results become more efficient. Throughout this project, I also learn to collaborate and communicate with my teammates, allowing our team to work towards the goal together. For our project this time, we investigated the Chi Po-Lin foundation, which allows us to learn more about the famous director, Chi Po-Lin, who has created one of the most inspiring films through aerial photography. Director Chi’s iconic work, “Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above,” has imprinted on every Taiwanese’s heart, raising awareness of environmental issues in Taiwan. I appreciate that the CyberFair project provides me with this opportunity to explore local business organizations that deserve to be remembered and seen. I have such an excellent experience that makes me willing to engage in more CyberFair activities in the future.
This is my first time attending Cyber Fair. I find this project very interesting and did gain a lot of experience throughout the process. Through participating in Cyber Fair, I learn to recognize issues in our daily lifes, specifically, in this project we learn to raise awareness of the environmental issues in our homeland by investigating and collaborating with the Chipolin Organization. The best part of this project is to get to talk with the staffs in Chipolin Organization. That’s how we get to learn more about the entire organization, their works, their dreams, and their believes. Thus, aligning with the organization, we hope to advocate people to protect our environment and to observe the beauty of the environment we lived in! I truly believe that I made the right decision to attend Cyber Fair.
This is my third year participating in the CyberFair Competition. Since I had gained experience throughout the years, the process of making the project is easier than the previous year. As I learn more about cyberfair, I know what to write for every section and have more time to include additional information to make the project more interesting. Throughout the project, I’ve also learned a lot about Chi Po-Lin and Taiwan’s geography. From what I’ve learned, Chi Po-Lin, a famous director who dedicates his life to spreading the beauty of Taiwan and expanding the problem of environmental issues, has created a great influence over people’s understanding of geography, showing us a different side of Taiwan with birds' view. From this project, I’ve understood the environmental issue in Taiwan, and acknowledge the fact that people do not have enough understanding of Taiwan's geography. Therefore, I have learned more about project skills and facts about Taiwan, which is very interesting and engaging. Hence, from this great experience, I’m excited to engage in a CyberFair project in the future.
This is my second time attending CyberFair. Even though there are some personnel changes in the team, with several new participants, our team collaborates and communicates well, allowing the project to be completed smoothly and efficiently. This semester, we investigated the Chi Po-Lin foundation. Chi Po-Lin is a well-known figure, who recorded the views in Taiwan, addressing the seriousness of environmental issues, but also revealing the beauty of Taiwan. Throughout the project, I gained not only a deeper understanding of Chi Po-Lin and his works, but also the story of the founder of the organization, Chi Ting-huan, who persists to continue his father’s work and belief. I appreciate both the director and the local organization, also CyberFair which made me a chance to explore more on the local businesses. It is a great experience to promote Taiwan’s unique film industry, making me look forward to engaging in the Cyberfair club again!
This is my second years of attending Cyber Fair. Through 2 years experiences, Cyber Fair drives me to discover current social issues and improve academic performance. Throughout the semester, our team investigates Chipolin Organization and focuses on raising the awareness of environmental issues. Unexpectedly, I also discovered extended issues. For example, Director Chi’s iconic work, “Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above,” not just known for its high popularity, but the passion to spread Taiwan’s beauty. Besides, I also begin to organize the research information efficiently, gathering and analyzing data also play an important role during the research. It is worth mentioning that, I become more familiar when collaborating with unfamiliar people. These experiences assist me a lot in further group projects. I am glad to have the opportunity to participate in the Cyber Fair. It is an honor to promote our country’s culture to the world. I am looking forward to next year Cyber Fair!
After last year’s experience, this is my second year attending CyberFair. Although diseases are still circulating around Taiwan, unlike last year, this year, we got the chance to interview the son of Chi Po-Lin in-person. This was a precious opportunity for us, as a group to personally vist the Chi Po-Lin foundation. Overall, a visit to the Chi Po-Lin Foundation is a fantastic way to learn more about Taiwan and its rich history and culture, while also contributing to efforts to protect its environment and preserve its cultural heritage. Through this experience, I have saw a ‘Taiwan’ I had never seen before. Cyberfair provides me with the opportunity to explore more about my homeland as well as being able to develop research and analysis skills through out the project.
This is my first touch to the CyberFair. Though I am new to the project, I was able to communicate with my teammates and find my position in the team, this allows me to work efficiently and learn from others in the team. Also, CyberFair gave me a chance to discover more about the world, especially our vicinity. Fortunately, I was able to research the Chipolin Organization. Furthermore, hear stories of director Chi from the current chairman of Chipolin Organization, Chi Ting Huan. In conclusion, I really cherish this chance of discovering the views director Chi shooted, reflecting on environmental issues of Taiwan, a beautiful land where we live.
This is my fourth time participating in the World CyberFair competition. I first joined this club in seventh grade because of a friend’s recommendation. I was unfamiliar with the competition at the time, and it was only with the help of senior upperclassmen, did we receive a platinum award. Even though the results were distinctive, I feel I haven’t learned much after a year at the club. Feeling disappointed and discouraged, I wanted to quit. In the end, I decided to try for another year after discussing it with my parents. Now having 3 years of experience, I have become our team leader and was much more confident and even offered help to new students when I could. I am grateful to be working with my team, developing numerous skills. Including making easy-to-comprehend questionnaires, data analysis, and most importantly teamwork. I hope we could still achieve excellent placements this year once again, committing to the World CyberFair competition.
This is my first time participating in Cyber Fair. Even though this is my first time attending this academic activity, I was still able to cooperate with my teammates smoothly and even improve my researching skills. Throughout the whole process, I get to have a deeper understanding about local issues in Taiwan, especially environment sustainability related issues. Moreover, by interviewing with the chairman Chi Ting Huan, we get to explore the issue from a different perspective, further enabling us to complete a detailed project with numerous first hand information. Besides this, participating in Cyber Fair also gives me the opportunity to improve my researching and collaboration skills. I had the chance to practice these skills through and completing multiple research process involving discussion among my teammates. In short, I really enjoyed the time I spent in Cyber Fair and overall this is a great opportunity for improving my skills as well as a chance to give back to the community, as we committed to help raise the awareness of environmental issues. I really hope to be participating in similar activities in the future.
