The Founder

In Creative Tech Textile, all the workers that genuinely care about our environment are guided by a leader whose passion could not be extinguished–Mr. Wang. From working in a textile company and living a stable, abundant life to serving as an example and mentor that guides his team towards success, Mr. Wang slowly unfolds his journey and shares his years of experiences with us.
In his childhood, Mr. Wang was raised in a home near the sea. His family are workers that are deeply tied to marine life, rooting a genuine interest and belonging between Mr. Wang and the ocean. Growing up along Taiwan’s western coastline, he was surrounded by an oyster farming culture that had supported local communities for generations. He recalls stories passed down through his family about how people in coastal areas use what was available around them.
Before modern building materials were widely used, oyster shells played an important role in daily life. Some of them were burned into ash and used as wall coatings, while other shells were embedded into walls to help regulate indoor temperature, keeping homes warm in winter and cool in summer.

These early impressions left a deep mark on Mr. Wang. They shaped his understanding of sustainability long before the concept became widely discussed. To him, oyster shells were not waste, but evidence of how human life and nature could coexist through thoughtful use of local resources.
With more than 35 years of experience working in the textile industry, Mr. Wang began reflecting on how local, circular, and sustainable materials could be reused rather than discarded. Among the many materials he explored, oyster shells stood out, not only because of their historical significance in coastal life, but also because of the growing environmental challenges caused by large quantities of discarded shells along Taiwan’s western coast.
For Mr. Wang, oyster shells were never just discarded materials. They represent a link between tradition, nature, and responsibility for our environment, as well as a reminder that solutions to modern environmental problems can often be found in local knowledge and cultural memory.

Building The Team

Mr. Wang, the CEO of Creative Tech Textile, founded the company with the goal of turning waste materials into sustainable products. At the beginning, Mr. Wang noticed that Taiwan produced large amounts of waste. Such as oyster shells and plastic bottles, these materials were often discarded and caused environmental problems. Instead of seeing the materials as useless waste, Mr. Wang believed that these materials could be reused and transformed into valuable products. To build the company, Mr. Wang invested in research and development and worked closely with scientists, factories, and industry partners. Mr. Wang led his team to experiment with different materials and technologies, then eventually developed innovative products like Seawool. These early decisions helped the company to establish a clear direction focused on sustainability and innovation.

One of the biggest challenges Mr. Wang faced in building Creative Tech Textile was the high cost and difficulty of producing recycled materials. Mr. Wang chose to continue improving production methods rather than using cheaper but harmful materials. His persistence allowed the company to meet international standards and gain recognition in the global textile market.Through strong leadership and long-term planning, Mr. Wang successfully grew Creative Tech Textile into a company that combines environmental responsibility with advanced technology. Mr. Wang’s approach shows how a company can be built by turning environmental challenges into sustainable business opportunities.
